Venezuelan FM remembered Comandante Ernesto Che Guevara

Caracas, Oct 8 (Prensa Latina) Venezuela's Foreign Minister, Yvan Gil, recalled today the Argentine-Cuban commander Ernesto Guevara on the 57th anniversary of his physical disappearance in Bolivia.

This day ‘the Day of the Heroic Guerrilla is commemorated in honor of Ernesto Che Guevara, who fell in combat on October 8, 1967 against the Bolivian Armed Forces while leading the Ñancahuazu Guerrilla’, he wrote in his Telegram account.

Gil pointed out that the following day he was shot by order of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency.

He stressed that Che gave his life for the Latin American revolution and ‘our greatest tribute is to follow the course of the Bolivarian Revolution’.

In another message, he expressed that Venezuela celebrates today the Day of the Comprehensive Community Physician and pointed out that the date was established in 2009 by Commander Hugo Chavez (1954-2013) in homage to the revolutionary leader Che Guevara, who emphasized a more human and solidarity approach of medicine.
