Its Spokesperson Mao Ning noted that some 215 people, including three from Hong Kong and one from Taiwan, were evacuated in two batches by ships and chartered flights.
“We thank Air China, China COSCO Shipping Corporation, and Zhejiang Ningbo Zhongmeng Aviation Link for their active support in these operations,” the spokesperson affirmed.
Mao stated that the Chinese Embassy in Lebanon remains operational and is assisting the few Chinese nationals who remain in the country.
“They will continue to receive guidance and support to take necessary measures to ensure their safety,” she said.
China will send emergency humanitarian medical supplies to Lebanon to help cope with the disasters caused by communication device explosions and airstrikes, this country’s officials previously informed.
Beijing expressed deep concern over the turbulent situation in the Middle East and rejected any violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
