One year after the start of the Israeli massacre in the occupied territories, mainly Gaza, political leaders reiterated their call for an immediate ceasefire and urgent international action to end the genocide.
In the presence of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the participants expressed their deep concern about the continuing genocide in Tel Aviv, ignoring the calls of the United Nations General Assembly, the United Nations Security Council, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and the international community. They also expressed alarm at the impunity with which Israel is expanding its theatre of operations and threatening regional peace and security through its continued violations of international law and the UN Charter.
They mentioned, in this regard, the recent Zionist aggressions against Lebanon, the attacks in the West Bank, the assassinations of the Hamas leader in Iran and the Secretary General of Hezbollah on Lebanese soil.
The Pakistani political leaders reaffirmed their unwavering support for the inalienable right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, and for the relevant resolutions of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the United Nations calling for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the occupied territories, and a peaceful and negotiated solution to the conflict, according to the statement.
They also urged the international community to take urgent measures to prevent Israel from further undermining regional peace and stability, including preventing an aggression against Lebanon and other neighbouring countries.
They also called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to convene an Emergency Summit to discuss the situation of the Palestinians, and Israel’s dangerous adventurism in the region and its implications.
The All-Party Conference also decided to commemorate November 29, 2024 as the Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
