As part of its brutal aggression against Lebanon and Syria, the Zionist entity bombed the road between the Masnaa-Jdeidet Yabous border points.
This caused the closure of this vital international highway used by hundreds of thousands of citizens of both countries fleeing the Israeli criminal machinery and going to Syria, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
It added that Damascus denounces this Zionist crime and others that affect civil defense teams and humanitarian aid workers.
We demand that measures be taken to immediately stop this aggression and force Israel to account for its crimes, the text indicated.
In the early hours of Friday morning, Israeli fighter jets bombed the stretch of road between the two border points and a building on the Lebanese side.
As a result of the attack, the circulation of vehicles and the passage of travelers and displaced persons was temporarily interrupted.
According to data from the Syrian Department of Immigration and Passports, of the total of 275 thousand displaced persons who arrived in Syria during the last 10 days, some 183 thousand passed through this border crossing.
The attack occurs in the midst of a fierce Israeli aggression against different regions of Lebanon, in particular the southern region, Balbek, Hermel and the southern suburb of Beirut.
