Accompanied by the head of the PCC’s Cadre Department, Humberto Camilo Fernández, Díaz-Canel chaired the extraordinary plenary session of the political organization in Villa Clara.
The meeting focused on such aspects as food production, investments in social sectors, banking and the measures to correct distortions and boost the economy, the Cuban News Agency (ACN) reported.
The meeting also assessed the response to the indications and suggestions resulting from visits to five of Villa Clara’s thirteen municipalities during the first seven months of the year, and the work priorities for the remainder of 2024.
The meeting was also attended by the top leaders of the local Government, as well as a group of guests who play a relevant role in business management, research, culture and social life.
