According to the agency’s statement, the aircraft, an Ilushin IL-76, was received at the Rafik Hariri international airport by the Moscow ambassador to Lebanon, Alexandr Rudakov, and by the Lebanese Minister of the Environment, Nasser Yassin, the Sputnik news agency highlighted.
The Ministry specified in the note that the IL-76 transported a humanitarian shipment of 33 tons that includes food, basic necessities, medicines and mobile electrical substations.
This humanitarian operation was carried out by order of the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, the agency highlighted.
