Another tropical storm circulates in the Atlantic

Washington, Oct 3 (Prensa Latina) Tropical Storm Leslie is circulating today in the central Atlantic at six kilometers per hour (km/h) along with Hurricane Kirk, which will gain more intensity as it moves westward, the National Hurricane Center reported.

The 12th storm of the current hurricane season is located at latitude 10.3 North, longitude 30.5 West, 830 km southwest of Cabo Verde.

Leslie is moving at nine km/h with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h with stronger gusts and according to forecasts, its strengthening is expected, which could become a hurricane in a couple of days, according to the report.

Meanwhile, Hurricane Kirk continues on a northwesterly course and is now located 2,645 km southwest of the Azores Islands.

With maximum sustained winds of 195 km/h, and a speed of 17 km/h, it could affect the east coast of the United States in the next few hours, the institution warned in its bulletin.
