In its 11th bulletin on this hydrometeorological system, the entity reports that Kirk is expected to become a major hurricane tomorrow, Thursday.
Away from the Caribbean Sea and the islands of the West Indies, the seventh cyclone of the current Atlantic hurricane season is located near latitude 17.5 North, longitude 42.1 West.
Kirk is moving northwestward at about 22 km/h and this general motion will continue over the next few days, the institution noted.
