According to Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Josefina Vidal, the Ministry values the scientific work that supports the academic debate to which this event calls.
Contrasting analytical perspectives, accurate diagnosis, projection of scenarios and the elaboration of proposals will help us better assess what is happening in the world and where the main trends are heading to, she said.
Vidal pointed out that the debates will allow for greater preparation for transformative action and commitment to a more just, peaceful, supportive and equitable world.
At the opening session, Pablo Vommaro, director for Working Groups and Promotion of Research at CLACSO, was awarded the status of CIPI associate researcher.
The meeting will run through October 4, under the central theme “The South in the geopolitical reconfiguration: the directions of transition.”
