Foreign Ministry deputy spokesman Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal stressed that the entire territory of Afghanistan is under the control of the Islamic Emirate’s security forces and that the country’s soil will not be used against any other nation.
Recently, the ambassador and special representative of Iran’s president in Afghanistan, Hassan Kazemi Qomi, stated there is discrimination against ethnic, linguistic and religious minorities in Afghanistan.
Qomi also mentioned, in relation to the interim government’s fight against extremist organizations, that the Taliban should not only take a stand against the Islamic State organization (ISIS), but also against other groups that threaten the security of Afghanistan’s neighbors.
You cannot take a stand against ISIS and remain silent with other groups that challenge the security of Afghanistan’s neighbors. For the past three years, we have been offering sincere advice and emphasizing that a mono-ethnic, mono-linguistic, mono-gender and mono-religious system cannot meet the needs of a population that has linguistic, ethnic and religious diversity, the Iranian diplomat said.
