In a statement, Fattouh said that these attacks and the killing of entire families represent a war crime and a flagrant violation of international and humanitarian law. Moreover, they confirm once again the determination of ‘the terrorist and extremist government (of Benjamin Netanyahu) to attack innocent people,’ the legislative leader said.
He also criticized the powers’ support to the Israeli war campaign against the coastal enclave, where more than 41,000 people were killed and 96,000 others were wounded in almost a year.
These attacks are clear proof of the support of ‘some Western countries that approve the killing of innocents, under the pretext of the aggressor’s right to defend himself and commit genocide’, he stressed.
In view of this situation, he renewed his call to the international community to put pressure on Netanyahu and his cabinet to stop the war.
The world must protect innocent children, women and the elderly and take immediate action to stop this aggression, he stressed.
