In a telephone conversation with his Israeli counterpart, Benjamin Netanyahu, Modi rejected terrorism and said that India is ready to support peaceful efforts for a solution to the crisis. During the dialogue, both ministers also discussed further strengthening of the India-Israel Strategic Partnership and agreed to remain in touch.
Despite the rejection of most of the international community, Israel has undertaken a military escalation against cities of neighboring nations, while continuing the military siege in the occupied Palestinian territories, which has caused the death of more than 41 thousand Palestinians and the injury of hundreds of thousands since October 2023.
Regarding the situation in the region, New Delhi has defended, as a principle, support for the solution of the conflict through diplomacy and political dialogue and the establishment of two independent States, Israel and Palestine.
