According to Russian presidential advisor and executive secretary of the SPIEF Organizing Committee, Anton Kobiakov, the forum in 2025 will take place at a time when the world economy faces serious challenges, like the need to accelerate digitalization and the fight against climate change.
The event will become not only a platform to debate these issues, but also to develop concrete practical solutions, capable of adapting the world economy to the new conditions, said the functionary, who also recalled that in 2024, 21,800 people from 139 countries and territories participated in the forum, and more than a thousand deals, worth more than 6.43 trillion rubles (more than 70 billion US dollars), were closed.
“It is worth highlighting the participation of a large number of representatives of the countries of the BRICS group, which Russia presides in 2024, whose presence contributes to strengthening economic cooperation and the creation of new sustainable development initiatives and infrastructure projects,” the official noted.
“These achievements, stressed Kobiakov, confirm the need to continue dialogue at the highest level. I trust that SPIEF 2025 will become a key instrument for developing new strategies to address global economic challenges.”
