In a letter to the president of the Permanent Committee of the 14th National People’s Assembly, Zhao Leji, Lazo stated that the interparliamentary ties between both nations are an example of solidarity and cooperation between socialist countries.

He highlighted Cuba’s interest in increasing cooperation and the exchange of experiences in the legislative field for the benefit of bilateral friendship and cooperation.

In a letter to Wang Huning, president of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, the parliamentary leader ratified Cuba’s support for the “one China” principle, and gratitude for the permanent solidarity received from the Asian nation.

Lawmaker Caridad Diego, head of the Cuba-China Parliamentary Friendship Group, joined the congratulatory message on her X account.

“We will continue to work to strengthen relations between the National People’s Power Assembly and the National People’s Assembly of China,” she noted.
