Gathered at the Universal Hall of the FAR in Havana, dozens of officers and civilian staff from that organization and the Ministry of the Interior, as well as students from military schools paid tribute to the Hero of the Republic of Cuba, who died on September 24.

Other ceremonies were simultaneously held in the Eastern, Central and Western Armies, and in the Border Brigade, reported national television.

In Havana, flower wreaths were presented by Speaker of the National Assembly of People’s Power, Esteban Lazo, members of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution, and the family of Espinoza Martín.
