Journalists on Monday asked the spokesman to comment on reports that after the wave of explosions of pagers and other communication devices that occurred in Lebanon, Iran allegedly began buying goods manufactured in Russia and China on a large scale.
“First of all, I don’t know how reliable these sources are,” Peskov said, adding that he could only confirm that “economic and trade” relations between Moscow and Tehran “are developing, and, of course, the volume of trade is also mutually growing.”
For Peskov, “this is a normal process between two states that are interested in the development of bilateral relations.”
On September 17 and 18, explosions of electronic devices, including pagers and walkie-talkies, occurred in different parts of Lebanon, leaving more than 37 dead and almost three thousand injured, according to the latest official data.
The Hezbollah militia and Lebanese authorities accused Israel of these explosions.
