In remarks to Prensa Latina, the doctor graduated in Havana, recalled that since 1962, different American administrations have maintained this economic, commercial and financial blockade that seeks nothing but to undermine the normal life of Cubans.
During an activity of the Solidarity Movement held at the headquarters of the Central Unitaria de Trabajadores, Lagos also denounced the damage caused to the island by the inclusion in the spurious list of alleged sponsors of terrorism.
The inclusion in this arbitrary list further tightens the blockade, as it affects operations in the banking and financial sector, trade, energy acquisition and access to credit.
All these issues, the doctor said, will be analyzed at the XXVIII National Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba to be held on November 29 and 30 in the city of Valdivia.
