The candidates for the October 27 elections will lead an event at Caras y Caretas theater in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, with Uruguayan residents there.
FA President Fernando Pereira said the political grouping is working quietly to transfer supporters from Argentina to Uruguay on the election day.
“It is essential to win, and somehow this visit by Yamandu and Carolina and the main FA leaders have to do with getting many thousands to come; if possible, think of 15,000 or 20,000 Uruguayans coming from Argentina,” Pereira told La Diaria.
Meanwhile, the Uruguayan media highlighted the “rally” that called several thousand FA supporters to Montevideo’s Rambla Esplanade on Sunday, with caravans coming from the country’s east and western regions.
