After hours of uncertainty, Hezbollah declared its secretary general since 1992 “martyred on the road to the liberation of Al-Quds (Jerusalem)”, as result of the most powerful offensive operation against Lebanon since 2006.
Nevertheless, the Resistance will continue, reaffirmed leaders in Lebanon, Palestine, Iran and Yemen, after the assassination of the political and military leader of the Hezbollah movement, Hassan Nasrallah.
The symbol departed, but a legend has been born, and the resistance continues, were the words of the Lebanese presidential candidate and head of the Marada Current, Suleiman Franjieh.
Now is not the time to be sad or to cry, but to rise up, to complete the path of resistance, emphasized in his message the leader of the Lebanese Democratic Party, Talal Arslan.
For the politician, the symbol of resistance in the modern era has passed away, leaving behind a school of pride, dignity and resistance.
Former Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblatt wrote: “Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and his comrades joined the long caravan of martyrs on the road to Palestine.”
All the words are not enough to express the pain, no lamentation extinguishes the pain nor heals the wound, Lebanese parliamentarian and politician Jamil Al Sayyed stressed.
Other Lebanese political leaders have echoed similar condolences.
