The meeting also marks the continuity of this kind of forum in which the support for the Cuban Revolution, its government, and its people is reaffirmed, Chela Castro, member of the board of directors of the presidency pro tempore of the Colombian Solidarity Movement that Bogota holds, told Prensa Latina.
The activist added that during the event’s sessions, participants will also demand the Washington administration to remove Cuba from Washington’s State Sponsors of Terrorism (SSOT) list because, by preventing the normal development of its commercial relations, it worsens its citizens’ needs.
She commented that the meeting, taking place at the Gabriel Garcia Marquez Cultural Center in this capital, had been well-prepared in advance and its planning had been carried out in a national assembly where delegates, from different solidarity groups, attended.
