The Vietnamese president arrived the day before at José Martí International Airport in this capital, where he was received by the Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Roberto Morales.
During his stay, until September 27, the visitor will hold official talks with the First Secretary of the Communist Party and President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, and will exchange with other authorities.
According to his planned agenda, To Lam will pay tribute in Havana to the independence hero Ho Chi Minh, and participate in an act of Cuba-Vietnam solidarity, among other activities.
Before his trip to Cuba, Lam had a meeting with Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, within the context of the opening of the High Level Segment of the United Nations General Debate.
On that occasion, the Cuban Foreign Minister wished the Asian leader a fruitful State visit to Cuba, in days that -he affirmed-will contribute to continue strengthening the solid ties of brotherhood between the communist parties, governments and peoples of the two nations.
The two countries maintain historic relations, based on comprehensive cooperation, mutual trust and brotherhood.
