Your new and old friends in Cuba are welcoming you here, said Díaz-Canel, as he greeted the general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
According to an official release, To Lam declared that “the world has gone through many changes, but the friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Cuba will never change.”
A busy agenda is expecting To Lam in Cuba, where he arrived the day before.
At Havana’s José Martí International Airport, he was welcome by the Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Roberto Morales.
During his stay ending tomorrow the Vietnamese guest will hold official talks with the Cuban head of state and exchange with other authorities.
He will also pay tribute to the independence hero Ho Chi Minh, at a monument in downtown Havana, and will attend a Cuba-Vietnam solidarity event, among other activities.
