Majority believes Yamandú Orsi will be Uruguay’s next president

Montevideo, Sep 25 (Prensa Latina) The majority of Uruguayans believe that the next president of the country will be Yamandú Orsi, candidate of the Frente Amplio (FA), according to data from a poll published today.

The Factum poll shows that 53% of those polled considered that the FA will return to power after the first round of elections to be held on October 27.

If such perception were to materialize at the polls, Orsi would win without the need to go to the ballot.

Twenty-eight percent of those consulted believe that the president who will take office in March 2025 will be Álvaro Delgado, of the National Party, at the head of a coalition government like the one currently presided over by Luis Lacalle Pou.

Another four percent think that this coalition will be headed by the Colorado Party candidate, Andres Ojeda.

On the other hand, 23% of the voters of the ruling coalition believe that the Frente Amplio will win the elections.
