At a meeting with Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár, the Cuban senior diplomat confirmed his country’s will to strengthen bilateral political dialogue and economic-commercial ties.
On a message posted on X, Rodriguez also acknowledged the efforts by the European authority in boosting relations between the two sides.
As part of his agenda on Wednesday, Rodriguez also spoke with his Indian counterpart, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, to whom he reiterated the interest in broadening economic-commercial and cooperation ties.
The Havana representative traveled to New York on Saturday to participate in the Summit of the Future and the General Debate, key events of the 79th session of UN General Assembly, which runs until September 30.
Concurrently, the Cuban FM maintains an extensive bilateral agenda that has included dialogue with representatives of Venezuela, Nicaragua, Mexico, Vietnam, the European Union, Namibia, Senegal, Oman, Latvia, Kenya, Uzbekistan, the Vatican and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
His program further included talks with Volker Türk, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and with the UN representative for the Alliance of Civilizations, Miguel Angel Moratinos.
