Gabriela Flores, president of the Confederation of Municipal Health Officials (Confusam), warned that the responsibility for the protest lies on the central government due to its lack of response to urgent requests from affiliates.
She said that the Ministry of Health has outstanding debts with primary care personnel, among them the issue of the retirement incentive.
There are those who have applied for retirement since 2021 and the resources have still not been disbursed, nor is there any information on how much the funding per person for this benefit will be, the leader pointed out.
The Confusam leader added that there is also a lot of discomfort among the union because the health reform carried out by the Executive is not being discussed with the workers, who do not know what the content of the project is.
However, Flores noted that the most burning item is that of the safety of those who directly provide the service to the population.
“Today it is not the insult, today it is the aggression, the knife, the firearm, they destroy our workplaces and hijack our ambulances”, she denounced.
She also referred to the poor communication with the Minister of Health, Ximena Aguilera, with whom they tried to meet several times to express their dissatisfaction, but were not attended to.
