French Film Festival in Cuba, a strong alliance for both cultures

Havana, Sep 24 (Prensa Latina) The French Film Festival in Cuba strengthens alliances with our culture by inaugurating its new edition with a diverse agenda that, among the most anticipated, organized the tribute to the actor Alain Delon, its organizers reported today.

Delon, essential within that cinematography (who passed away last month), will be present at the event, which will open its doors from October 2 to 13, and will screen all his films at the 23 and 12 cinema, as a worthy tribute to his work and figure, as indicated in a press conference.

The opening gala will be held at the Chaplin Cinema, in this capital, with the film “November”, a 2022 production of Suspense and Crime that tells how on November 13, 2015, France falls into the most absolute silence after the shooting at the headquarters of the Charlie Hebdo weekly.

From director Cédric Jimenez, it describes a country that was once again suffering from terrorist attacks with a wave of attacks in the capital, ending the lives of 130 people.

Another of the special moments will be present in the Chaplin room with the Tribute to Laurent Cantet and the film “The Class.”

For more than 10 days, the aforementioned movie theaters, in addition to the Yara and the Acapulco, will be protagonists of a wide French filmography, with feature films for young adults and animated films.

The French Film Festival in Cuba returns to its wanderings in Havana and other provinces, where the public has been waiting for the season for 25 years to appreciate the most select of the European nation in terms of the Seventh Art.
