On Monday, representatives of the working commissions of those bodies analyzed the potentialities for bilateral cooperation in essential areas for developing both countries and advocated expansion and strengthening.
In a working session led by ANPP President Esteban Lazo and Nguyen Duc Hai, Vice Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly, the parliamentarians identified areas, including economy, finance, and energy.
Issues such as assistance in health, sports, education, culture, science, agri-food, and constitutional and legal matters, among others, were also addressed, the Cuban legislative body stated.
During the meeting held at the National Capitol’s Baragua Hall, the commissions discussed the fight against the blockade imposed by the US Government and Cuba’s inclusion in Washington’s list of State Sponsoring Terrorism (SSOT). At the beginning of the working session, Duc Hai expressed his satisfaction for visiting Cuba and having the opportunity to hold this exchange between both legislative entities.
