According to a report of the region’s largest free zone, in the first eight months of the year, imports and re-exports registered 16,470,500 dollars, which is also lower by 1,2% compared to the same period of 2022.
The countries that recorded the largest volume of imports were China, the United States, Belgium, Mexico and Singapore, representing 66,2% rise.
In re-exports, Panama and Venezuela stood out, followed by Costa Rica, Guatemala, Colombia, the United States, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Honduras, Chile, Ecuador and Nicaragua, in that order. These countries represent 70,3% of the total of this activity.
