The diplomat, who made these statements referring to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s plans to hold a second summit in November, to which he plans to invite Russia, was categorical when she said that her country will not participate in this kind of meeting.
The spokeswoman wrote on her Telegram channel that these meetings have nothing to do with the peace process and are only aimed at promoting Zelenski’s formula as the only option for resolving the conflict.
Zakharova assured that Moscow remains ready to analyze “really serious proposals that take into account the situation on the ground and geopolitical realities,” as well as President Vladimir Putin’s peace initiative formulated on June 14.
It is impossible to achieve a just and lasting solution without Russia and without taking into account its interests, the diplomat said.
