The Russian foreign minister, who gave an interview broadcast on Saturday by the Sky News Arabia television channel, recalled that for several months it has been discussed that Russia only threatens, talking about “red lines.”
Thus, the West crosses these red lines every time, and nothing happens. Recently, in St. Petersburg, Russian President Vladimir Putin commented on this situation, Lavrov noted.
Especially the West has been launching initiatives to provide Ukraine with U.S., French and British long-range missiles and allow them to attack any target on the territory of Russia. This will be a direct NATO war on Russia, the foreign minister explained.
Concurrently, the minister stressed that Russia does not want any escalation with the West. However, Lavrov underscored that Western politicians behave like children, although they are adults holding responsible positions: ministers, foreign ministers, presidents and others.
