Federations from Nicaragua, Curacao, Cuba, Argentina, Colombia and Panama agreed on Friday here to create an institution that intends to boost solid unions among the region baseball teams and organize events.
The alliance’s goal is to bring Latin American baseball to the world and create more opportunities for international competitions, so that the new talents in the areaaccess another space where they may hone their abilities.
In the first meeting, David Salayanda was elected as president, and Nemesio Porras, Carlos Lee, Yedrek Madalena, Pedro Salcedo, Juan Reinaldo Perez and Roberto Braccini as vice presidents. The board of directors will have Ajax Delgado as secretary, Luis Villalaz as treasurer, Kodiro Miranda as treasurer, Luis Daniel del Risco as first member and Carlos Van Cauwlaert as second member.
As part of the agreements of the ABAM, the first Series of the Americas, to be held from January 24 through 30, 2025 in Nicaragua at the Soberanía Nacional, Roberto Clemente and Rigoberto Lopez Perez stadiums, was approved.
