After the terrorist attack using electronic equipment in recent days and the Israeli raids against the southern regions, Hezbollah confirmed the direct hit of a guided missile on a gathering point of Israeli soldiers in the settlement of Metula, less than two kilometers from the Lebanese village of Al-Mari.

The Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported the launching of two rockets from southern Lebanon towards the border town of Metula. According to the publication, Hezbollah announced yesterday the responsibility for 17 military operations against Israeli targets, the highest number since the beginning of the war last October.

Journalist Yoav Limor of the Israel Hayom newspaper commented that the decision to press the button for the explosions in Lebanon on Tuesday and Wednesday was made with the knowledge that the benefit would be partial (it would create commotion and cause harm to Hezbollah members), but far from what was initially planned.

The Secretary General of the Lebanese Resistance, Hassan Nasrallah, said on Thursday during a speech on Israel’s electronic terror operation that the criminal act is a declaration of war, and reaffirmed the continuity of actions on the battle front in support of Palestine.

Regarding enemy reports of shifting the weight of the war to Israel’s northern front, Nasrallah indicated that the only way to return the settlers to their homes is to stop the aggression against the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and assured that further escalation will increase the displacement of Israeli residents and eliminate the opportunity to make them return.

Regarding the proposal by the commander of the northern region of the Israeli army to establish a security belt, he warned that “it must know that it will become a trap and an ambush, and will face a hard settlement.”
