Dominicans participate in the categories of Best Traditional Tropical Album (José Alberto El Canario, Rodando por el Mundo); Best Alternative Song (J Noa, Cabecear) and Best Christian Album (rapper Redimi2, with Maverick).
Merengue and bachata also feature strongly with Juan Luis Guerra (Radio Güira), and Eddy Herrera (Agradecido Live), nominated for Best Merengue and/or Bachata Album, along with Magic Juan (Superhéroe Merengue) and Prince Royce (Llamada perdida).
Juan Luis Guerra and his musical director Janina Rosado are up for Producer of the Year, while in the Best Contemporary Tropical Album category, the group Ilegales (Vladimir Dotel, Junior Pimentel and David Diaz) is competing with La Fiesta.
Singer-songwriter Vicente Garcia, together with Dayme Arocena, is also nominated for Song of the Year for ¨A fuego lento.

The ceremony of the 25th edition of the Latin Grammy will take place next November 14 in the city of Miami, United States.
