Such disposition was ratified by the president of the National Assembly of People’s Power (parliament), Esteban Lazo, and the president of Seychelles, Wavel Ramkalawan, in a meeting on Tuesday at the National Capitol.
The head of the legislative body stressed the importance of the meeting ‘to strengthen political and diplomatic ties and bilateral cooperation’.
Lazo thanked the African nation for its support to the resolutions to put an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the U.S. government, which the largest of the Antilles presents every year at the United Nations.
He stressed that in these more than six decades of the Revolution, thousands of Africans studied in Cuban schools to provide the continent with the professionals they need, with the aim of forging the future of well-being that their peoples deserve.
Ramkalawan expressed his pleasure at being in Havana, and the possibility of sharing with government and parliamentary authorities, according to the Cuban parliament.
The Seychellois president expressed his confidence that this visit will contribute to the strengthening of the historic ties of friendship that unite both peoples.
