Russian Foreign Minister to meet with his DPRK counterpart

Moscow, Sep 17 (Prensa Latina) Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will meet with his counterpart from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), Choe Son Hui, the Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, informed today.

“The DPRK foreign minister will be in Russia to attend the first Brics Women’s Forum, to be held in St. Petersburg, the spokeswoman told reporters on Tuesday

The day before, the Russian embassy in Pyongyang announced that the head of North Korean diplomacy will travel to St. Petersburg to attend the fourth Eurasian Women’s Forum and the Brics Women’s Forum.

On July 23, the chairwoman of the Eurasian Women’s Forum Council, Russian Senator Galina Karélova, reported that the fourth edition of the event will include the Brics Women’s Forum and a meeting of the Women 20 (W20) group, among others.

The event will be held from September 18 to 20 in the so-called capital of the Russian North. This year, the main theme of the forum is “Women for Confidence Building and Global Cooperation.”
