The country is registering 1,9 murders per 100,000 inhabitants, the president posted on social networks.
After his message, the World of Statistics account, on X, responded by issuing the average number of homicides per 100,000 inhabitants in El Salvador in the last nine years.
These figures are moving towards an improvement after the country accumulated 12 days without murders in September, according to the National Civil Police (PNC).
El Salvador recently reached 700 days without killings since Bukele took office in 2019, and authorities are working to lower the rate to 1,5 per 100,000 inhabitants this year.
