Some 57.3% of Argentineans disapprove of Milei’s performance

Buenos Aires, Sep 16 (Prensa Latina) A survey by Zuban Cordoba y Asociados revealed that 57.3 percent of Argentines today disapproves of President Javier Milei's performance and 43 percent considers that he has not achieved anything in nine months of his term in office.

According to this consulting firm, 55.1 believes that this country is going in the wrong direction since the leader of La Libertad Avanza took office, and 57.5 affirms that Argentina’s situation will be as bad or worse in a year.

Furthermore, 56.4 does not trust on Milei’s ability to improve the economy and 73.9 affirms that their personal conditions have worsened.

Some 64.3 admitts that they resort to their savings to make ends meet and 53.9 says that they are getting into debt to do so.

About 56.2 percent of the population fears losing their jobs and 77.4 percent says that poverty is increasing.

As for Milei’s policies, 56.2 disapproves of the dismissal of public employees and 62.8 is against the freezing of salaries.

68.3 reject the elimination of subsidies to electricity and gas rates and 69 are against the freezing of public works.

In addition, 71.1 disagrees with the veto to the law of retirement mobility, and 75.5 criticizes a decree that restricts access to public information.

Likewise, 87.1 does not support the restriction on the delivery of medicines to oncology patients.

Thinking about the legislative elections of 2025, 51.1 percent of the citizens assures that they will vote for politicians opposed to Milei, only 37.9 supports him and 11 does not know.

According to the directors of the consulting firm, Gustavo Córdoba and Paola Zuban, at present “there is a striking phenomenon: people believe that many of the President’s phrases are lies.”

Distrust floods every corner of personal and institutional life and reappears when measuring issues related to the economy such as dollarization or the possibility of a devaluation.
