Ana María Villagra, spokeswoman for the group, explained to Prensa Latina that since the Covid-19 pandemic they have been analyzing with friends and neighbors the possibility of helping and for that purpose they have organized several activities to raise money and collect items and medications.

She added that this time they are sending blood pressure monitors, bladder catheters, thermometers, syringes, hospital bedpans and other supplies, as well as painkillers, anti-inflammatory drugs and contraceptives.

Other groups, such as the Internationalists, and also by members of the Communist Party of Chile (PCCh) who participate in the campaign Un granito de Amor por Cuba (A Little Grain of Love for Cuba), joined this initiative
