Local residents reported that Pentagon troops, supported by their militia called the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), carried out an airborne operation against a house in the town of Shanina in northern Raqa governorate.
In addition to the four fatalities, one woman was wounded in the operation.
Despite Damascus’ outright refusal, the US military are deployed in at least 15 bases in northeastern Syria, where they arm, finance and train the SDF militia with a separatist agenda.
The Pentagon claims that their presence is linked to the fight against the Daesh terrorist group, while the Syrian government has offered several pieces of evidence confirming Washington’s support for these radicals to carry out attacks against Syrian and Russian troops, in order to disrupt the country’s stability and prolong the terrorist war.
