According to Liubimova, who met with Alonso on the sidelines of the 10th St. Petersburg International Forum of United Cultures, they discussed various aspects of Russian-Cuban cooperation, including cinema.
She also referred that Cuba will host a Russian Film Week from September 19-22 and the countries are also agreeing on joint film projects. Liubimova reminded of the Russian Film Festival that was held, on april, in Havana.
“The cycle of specialized events in Cuba will continue with the Film Week of the Russian film studio Mosfilm. In addition, we are conducting negotiations with the Cuban side on the creation of joint films,” the senior CEO wrote.
As explained by Liubimova, Havana and Moscow are also thinking about exchange tours with the participation of the National Ballet of Cuba.
The 10th St. Petersburg International Forum of United Cultures opened on September 11 and will continue until this Saturday, September 14. The main theme of the event in 2024 is “Culture in the 21st century: sovereignty or globalism?”.
