According to the president of the Central Unitary Workers’ Union (CUT), Fabio Arias, the participants will discuss nine axes in five work tables, and at the same time a balance will be made of what has been achieved in the first two years of the current government.
He also commented that a message will be sent to the Congress of the Republic to approve the social reforms in accordance with the rights, and will advocate in favor of maintaining the actions of the dialogue mechanisms in force in the country to achieve peace.
Arias also highlighted that they will discuss the unity required among the progressive and democratic political and social forces of the country so that, in the elections of 2026, they can continue advancing with the changes and transformations.
The meeting also seeks to establish a guide for local, regional, national and international mobilization for the remaining period of the government.
“The organizers of the Assembly and the representatives of the processes, 25 regional assemblies, that preceded this event, will intervene. All of them will present their conclusions and from there, onward, we will write the proposals and systematize them”, he assured.
The meeting, which will conclude tomorrow, is organized by the labor centrals and the Historic Pact coalition.
