According to the Ministry of Defense’s communication on Telegram, elements of the Russian Navy carried out simulated launches of Kalibr missiles against targets simulating a battle group and coastal military infrastructure of a conditional enemy.
The exercise was carried out in a complex interference situation, artificially created to complicate the task of the ship’s crews, the Ministry reported.
Russian vessels practiced various types of electronic jamming during maneuvers.
As part of that, coastal defense units of the Caspian Sea Fleet deployed Bal missile systems with Kh-35 missiles to cover a group of ships from the coast.
Along with this, the Caspian fleet ensured the protection of the infrastructure near areas along the coast prone to amphibious landings.
On the other hand, Su-24 bombers from the Russian Northern Fleet carried out attack missions against ground targets that simulated a camouflaged command post.
In the course of flight missions, the aircraft carried out bombing raids on the firing range of the Lumbovka airfield on the Kola Peninsula, the Ministry of Defense said.
