Decision to attack Russia will not change situation on the front

Moscow, Sep 13 (Prensa Latina) The possible decision by the United Kingdom and the United States to allow attacks on Russia with long-range weapons will not change the situation on the front, said today commander of the Akhmat group, Apty Alaudinov.

The deputy head of the Main Military and Political Department of the Russian Armed Forces, also stressed in an interview with the television channel, Rossiya 1, that it is clear these are methods to wage a psychological war against the population of the Eurasian nation.

They can easily give that permission, and I am more than sure that they will. But the question arises: how many of these missiles will they transfer to Ukraine? What can be done with this number of missiles, what can be changed directly on the front? Absolutely nothing,” he said.

“For us, nothing will change directly on the front, because the front is moving and will continue to move until Russia wins,” he stressed. In recent months, British government officials have made contradictory statements about the decision to authorize the use of Storm Shadow missiles to strike deep into Russian territory.

In July, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, quoted by Bloomberg, said that Ukraine could launch such attacks against Russia. Later, representatives of the British Ministry of Defense denied his statements.

According to defense sources of the newspaper The Daily Telegraph, Starmer “then went too far” in making public London’s position on the use of Storm Shadow against the Russian Federation.

On Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin told reporters that Ukraine was unable to strike deep into Russian territory without Western help because Kyiv needed satellite data and flight missions to do so.

The head of state noted that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization is not just discussing Kyiv’s possible use of long-range Western weapons now: in essence, it is deciding whether or not to become directly involved in the Ukrainian conflict.

Putin indicated that Moscow would make decisions based on the threats posed to Russia.
