This association assists more than three thousand minors in the Tigray region (north) and the donation received is part of the efforts to promote the implementation of the Permanent Cessation of Hostilities Agreement approved in 2022 and which ended the conflict between the Ethiopian government and the Tigray People’s Liberation Front.
It also seeks to support the welfare and rehabilitation of vulnerable and war-affected communities, according to the text released by the African continental organization.
Japan donated the funds for this donation which included teff for injera (similar to a crepe made with teff flour), wheat flour, cooking oil, cooking utensils, sanitary items, bedding, sports equipment, as well as books, notebooks and pens purchased from local vendors.
