In the first face-to-face between the Democratic candidate for the White House and the former president and Republican figure, according to the polls, Harris came out on top with a notable difference.
Without ambiguity, the Spanish Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Courts, Félix Bolaños, was pleased with the triumph in the debate of the current number two in the US administration.
We are very happy, it is good for the world that Kamala Harris has won’, Bolaños, member of the Socialist Party (PSOE) of the Iberian country, said.
In an aside session with press media at the headquarters of the Congress of Deputies of Spain, the incumbent admitted that he did not see the debate, but from what he heard and read, Harris gave Trump “a bath”, an opinion shared by the Minister of Equality, Ana Redondo.
‘Fantastic Kamala Harris, she has surprised us,’ Redondo, also from the PSOE, added words similar to those of the spokesman of the Socialists in the Lower House, Patxi Lopez.
‘It seems that she has cornered him, she has been the winner of this debate and that can tip the balance in elections that are very important for everybody’, he remarked accentuating the support of the PSOE to Kamala Harris.
At the same time, in the Hemicycle, several politicians from the left-wing fringe called on the conservative Popular Party (PP) to set out its position on the November elections in the United States.
