The Government Information System announced on national television that the delegation includes specialists in intensive care units (ICUs), general medicine, neonatology, obstetrics, radiography, laboratory, electromedicine, and nursing.
Minister Laville recalled the more than 20 years of cooperation with Cuba in health and praised the professionals’ solidarity and commitment to helping other nations.
On behalf of the members of the health brigade, Dr. Mirce Ayala reaffirmed the willingness to offer quality service and dedication to the people from Dominica, and expressed her gratitude for the hospitality received, which she assessed as “a sign of friendship between the two nations.”
During the reception, Cuban Ambassador Miguel Fraga recalled how medical cooperation began in the 1990s. Since then, about 130 young people have graduated from Cuba’s universities.
