Vietnam’s President of Parliament to visit Russia

Hanoi, Sep 6 (Prensa Latina) The president of the National Assembly of Vietnam, Tran Thanh Man, will make an official visit to Russia from September 8th to 10th, the Legislative Foreign Relations Committee announced.

Thanh Man’s visit to Russia responds to an invitation from the heads of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia, Vyacheslav Volodin, and the Federation Council of the Legislative body, Valentina Matviyenko

During his stay in Moscow, the president of the Vietnamese parliament will co-chair the 3rd meeting of the Interparliamentary Cooperation Committee.

The second meeting of the body was held last October in Hanoi, with the participation of Volodin, who was received by the highest authorities of the country, including the late general secretary of the Communist Party (CPV), Nguyen Phu Trong.

The visit of the Russian legislator was considered an important milestone, as it took place in the context of the implementation of the Joint Declaration on the Vision of the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership until 2030.
