The expressions of solidarity with the Cuban people took place at an event organized by the International League of Socialist Youth (ILSY), during a visit to Nepal by Cuba’s Chargé d’Affaires a.i. in that country, Abel Aballe, resident in India, according to diplomatic sources.
In the meeting, headed by ILSY president Subodh Serpali and its secretary Madhab, the participants conveyed their admiration for the Cuban Revolution, its leaders and the resilience of the Cuban people, capable of resisting more than six decades of imperial aggression policy by the United States, according to a note from the Cuban Embassy in India.
They also discussed actions to further strengthen relations between the youth of both countries.
Meanwhile, Aballe thanked the Nepalese people and youth for their support for Cuba and the Revolution, and explained the effects of the U.S. siege and the categorization of Cuba as a state sponsor of terrorism on the economy and the society of Cuba.
