The Cuban diplomat was welcome by Narayan Man Bijukchhe (Rohit), president of the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP); Rajendra Prasad Pande, an active leader of the Communist Party (CPN)-Unified Socialist; and Raghubir Mahaseth, a member of the House of Representatives and former Deputy Prime Minister, the Cuban mission said.
Aballe also held talks with Netra Bikram Chand Biplav, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal; C.P. Mainali, General Secretary of the CPN-Marxist Leninist; Rabindra Adhikari, President of the Committee for Peace and Solidarity of Nepal; and leaders of student, youth, and peasant organizations.
According to the source, a friendly atmosphere, solidarity and admiration for Cuba, its people, and the Revolution prevailed all meetings.
All hosts conveyed their commitment to supporting Cuba in its struggle against the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the US government for more than 60 years, and demanded Cuba’s removal from Washington’s State Sponsors of Terrorism (SSOT) list.
Aballe expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all of his hosts, whom he briefed on current developments in his country and the damage caused by the US economic war.
