Blinken was received on the front steps of the Government House by the Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza; the Vice Minister of Multilateral Foreign Policy, Rubén Silié, and the Director of State Ceremony and Protocol, Ambassador Francisco José Cantizano Nadal.
The day before, the Presidency website reported that the meeting will be private and afterwards both will offer statements on the topics discussed.
Blinken traveled last night to this country from Haiti, where he remained for several hours in order to meet with authorities of the neighboring nation.
